What employers may look for
Because the label is broad, research the underlying technical problem. A role in cleantech may look much more like conventional engineering, manufacturing, software or commercial work than the sector name suggests.

Search by underlying skill as well as sector label. Review employer career pages, job platforms, industry associations and local professional networks. Compare several advertisements before deciding which qualifications are genuinely common and which are specific to one employer.
